"How much did you pay for that," the young man asked me back at our Riad. He'd been advising us on shops to try and places to avoid, helpful without being overwhelming. We liked him a lot and so I gave him an honest answer.
"20 euros," I admitted with a blush. I hadn't wanted her to do it at all - she grabbed my hand and started before I had a chance to think straight. Cliff gave her 200 Dirham and she chased us out of the square, saying it wasn't enough. Meanwhile, I had an odd scribbled design of something she'd claimed was a flower.
Our guide shook his head. "I have a friend who can fix that and do the other hand, half that price. You want?"
I thanked him but said no. Enough henna for one day.
