We're pretty sure that the bright liquid in the second shelf down was just water with colouring, to fill up space on the shelves.
We bought two kilos of spices - some for giving away but mostly for us. I'm going to our local market on Wednesday to see how the prices compare. Would have been nice to know BEFORE we went there, really :)
