Box of "Boo Look" aka Pummelo (and globe for good measure)
Here in Hawaii the "Boo Look" (I'm not sure of the proper anglicisation of the Chinese would be but it sounds like that) is a rather common back yard fruit.
The 30 foot trees bearing these basketball sized yellow fruit are a rather conspicuous sight. Needless to say, it is quite an event when trying to harvest them. Either you wait for them to fall off the tree, or you try to dislodge/cut them from the tree making sure no one is below. The taste is much like a grapefuit but usually sweeter and milder.
I was trying to find something "football" shaped for the challenge and in fact their shape is usually more "pear-like" but some are spherical and may actually get to about the right size to match a football.
