Its Seen Better Days

What was once a mighty 2,000 horsepower Pratt & Whitney radial engine powering a Navy F6F Hellcat, has found its way to our museum after spending decades laying in some jungle on an unknown Pacific island. A not-so glorious end.

It's sitting in Hangar 79 but as far as I know, the museum has no plans for it or the rest of the plane(s) that have found their way to us in this condition. Visitors who walk over to Hangar 79 to view some of the restoration work can see it and wonder.
