Mr Blenkinsopp has never had much luck with the ladies. Living the life of a bachelor his life was full of simple pleasures and he was content to toil away with his Paving business (Lay-It-In-Public Ltd)all week and drive his shiny car at the weekends.
Charlotte has stirred something deep within Mr Blenkinsopps dungarees though and he realises his heart belongs to her.
Mr Blenkinsopp finds it hard to believe that dear sweet Charlotte is a menace with the credit card and knows deep down that she wouldn't be like the wife of his poor friend Cyril.
Mr Blenkinsopp sells his beloved car and takes on extra work.
He offers Vern the proceeds ($67)plus 32 cents he found under some crazy paving. He hopes this will help cover any expenses Vern may incur.
