I won Best Nature Photo with a pic I think is average.
Annual art show with over 600 paintings and 130 photos.
(We photographers were shoved into a room 'up the back' near the toilets.)
Still, I got a cheque, and no-one knew me so the pic was judged on its merit (no sympathy votes!).
Had fun dressing as an 'artist', but missed out on making a speech (the part I like best).
