We've progressed from flies but aren't quite up to birds, yet. I'm pretty sure if he did catch one (butterfly or bird) he wouldn't know what to do with it. But that doesn't stop him chasing.
He caught and killed a spider this morning, for which I was very grateful. I thought Kat might eat it but that never occurred to him. Instead he batted it around the room as a fun chase toy.
