It's a bit hot - join me for a drink?

A few of these, maybe half a dozen, flying around the past few days. Swallow? House martin? Swift? I hate not knowing these things!

A close-up of one of the looms at the Isle of Mull weavers. They left me alone in their working area to take all the photos I wanted. It was great!

I have tons of photographs at the weavers (including their newborn calf, which I haven't posted yet) but the best shots were when they opened up the work area and said "have fun" and walked away. I took about a hundred photographs. You can see a more polished view at http://www.ardalanish.com/

This is the other side of the frame where the dry-docked boat was - it is very close to the water. If I understood correctly, this is also a protected area so during storms, the local boats will "pull in" here and wait out the winds.

This one didn't have a calf. I didn't actually look underneath to verify gender though.

I agree with Maefleur that the washing in the background of the other photo is what makes it. This is more traditional - but in my opinion not as good a shot.

Something about dry-docked boats always makes me stop and look.

I took a million trillion photographs of the Highland cattle. I'll try to only put the very best here. ;) There may be some duplicates as I've changed my organisation system.
