I love walking here when the rain has stopped but it's not yet too hot for traipsing through bushes. The hill with the tree is where I want to spend an afternoon writing. I wonder if anyone would mind if I set a desk underneath it.

I thought I'd hike over those rocks in the distance. Then I found the water went straight up to the wall. I thought about turning around and then went ahead and waded through. The water was a LOT deeper than I thought (the sand drops off abruptly) and the waves were violent. And I lost my shoes.

"What are you doing?" "Microwaving rose petals." He gave me a look that said, "I don't know why I even bother to ask," and left the kitchen. But I think they look lovely!

Went for a long walk today - kept wishing I'd brought my camera.

Vegetable Risotto. He was surprised at how easy it was to make (which it is, if you don't mind standing at the stove for ages). And that concludes Connor's week of cooking for himself. I think he's relieved!

Homemade chili con carne with creamy corn on the side and a warm tortilla. (No green things but onions and tomato and corn seemed ok to me :D)

Pizza with onion, tomato, sliced pickled chiles and sausage. Connor made homemade sauce but I bought pre-made pizza dough. I'm not a total sadist. :)
