At the entrance to Maker Faire, this helium-filled 8-Ball was programmed to rise and fall via text message. Like MANY things at the Faire it seemed pretty cool, but not always of any discernable use--but the fact of all of these kinds of things (and their creators) together in one place means that maybe more practical uses will be found. And like many things at Maker Faire, it was just kinda cool in its own right.
