had to capture this Petunia growing in a driveway

This tree was uprooted by the wind from hurricane Ike -- Columbus, Ohio-- hundreds of miles from Texas. The wind blew for hours, but it didn't rain -- THANK GOD! This is a view from the sidewalk of the fallen tree in the vacant lot. This was an enomorous tree.

You cannot tell how big this tree is, but it is huge. Fortunally it fell into an empty lot instead of accross the street. it was growing along the sidewalk.

This is why 750,000 people in my area Columbus, Ohio had no electricy. this is my neighbor's house across the street. There are trees down everywhere. Big huge healthy trees.

The hurricane did little damage to our property. this tree was dead and the only damage we had. I can't believe that hurricane Ike made it all the way to Ohio with such horrendous winds.

Due to the hurrican, Ike, that made its way to Ohio where I live our electricty was off for three days -- we were lucky many people still have none.

never saw this kind of bug before. He was hard to photograph because he kept standing up when I put the camera close to him.

It was a well liked employee's last day. He worked third shift. The second shift wrapped his car. I don't think that would have made me happy -- but I guess he took it in good spirit.
